Position can have a dramatic impact on your sales so it can be an important metric for marketplaces. Using marketplace position data can also help you optimise your bid pricing for markets such as Google Shopping.
For this example the report has been filtered by the retailer Google. The highlighted example shows a golf club set we sell – CompleteGolfer.co.uk has the top position, £649.00 is their price, our price is at £749.00 and our actual position (5) and price position 4. Products with a price rank of 1 are likely to convert at a much higher rate. By sorting by positon I can see the products that are ranked worse and review my pricing and bid strategy.
